Statements from Spain U21 head coach David Gordo regarding the inclusion of Javi Guerra in Spain’s support squad list for the 2026 World Cup
Mestalla hosted the 9th VCF Schools Clinic and featured the presence of Spain U21 head coach David Gordo. Among other topics, the coach spoke about Javi Guerra being included in the list of support players for the senior Spain national team ahead of preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
“He is a footballer with enormous talent and a tremendous future, and he will surely become a regular in the national team. We must highlight not only his quality as a player, but also the values he has as a person. It’s clear that the Valencia CF Academy works on this with all its players because whenever they come to the national team they are always an example for everyone. I’m delighted that Javi is on that support list for the World Cup and hopefully, before long, he will become a regular in the senior national team,” said David Gordo.
